People That Sparkle

We've had a cruddy bug going around our house so this post is going out later than I would like but, I really did want to share a local favorite of mine. It is called the Genoa Candy Dance.
It is a fund raiser for a wonderful little town they host 300 craft and food booths.

I know it is called a candy dance but, I am trying to lose a couple of pounds so I avoided the yummy treats.



These next couple of pictures were at a booth that was so busy I am lucky I was able to get pictures. These figures are made from bicycle, and other mechanical parts.

Now the reason for the title of this post. This wonderful, 'sparkling' lady is
Cerri Noto.
I saw her booth from 20 yards away, picked up the pace and squeezed through the crowd to arrive at what would be the highlight of my day. You would think it was her work, which was amazing but, it was meeting Cerri. She makes you want to pull up a chair and stay the afternoon. She is beyond welcoming, she is funny and one of those people you cherish meeting. I wish she lived close so I could take her to lunch, selfishly of course, so that I could just listen to her some more. If you see her do yourself a favor and go talk to her, I bet you leave with one of her pieces of art so you can remember the special lady that made it.

My daughter and I loved this booth. Oh la la.....

We had a great time. I'm already looking forward to next year.
